🤝 Bending Spoons acquires “Miro”
Bending Spoons has agreed to acquire “Miro,” the visual collaboration platform, for $1.355 billion, roughly a tenth of the $17.5 billion Miro was valued at in 2022.
It's the latest in a run of well-known software companies the Italian company has picked up at a steep discount over the past year.
Bending Spoons buys established software products, restructures them, and keeps them. It also owns WeTransfer, Evernote, Meetup, and AOL.
Its recent deals, and what each company was once worth:
Miro: $1.355 billion, down from $17.5 billion in 2022.
Airtable: $1.285 billion, down from $11.7 billion in 2021.
Vimeo: $1.38 billion, down from about $8.5 billion in 2021.
Eventbrite: About $500 million, versus $1.76 billion at its 2018 IPO.
For Miro users, nothing changes until the deal closes, expected in Q4. After that, Bending Spoons says it will invest in performance, reliability, and functionality, but its playbook usually means restructuring:
WeTransfer lost 75% of its staff within months of being acquired, and Evernote lost most of its team and raised prices sharply.

📝 Superhuman acquires “Fathom”
Superhuman has acquired “Fathom,” the AI notetaker that records Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams calls and turns them into searchable transcripts, summaries, and action items.
Superhuman plans to bring that meeting data into its suite of email, calendar, docs, and database apps, and into "Superhuman Go," its assistant that works across other apps and websites. Terms weren't disclosed.
Superhuman is Grammarly under a new name. Grammarly bought Coda in late 2024 and the Superhuman email app in 2025, then renamed the whole company Superhuman; Coda became "Superhuman Docs" in July.
Here's what the deal means:
Fathom stays as is: CEO Richard White says customers keep the same app, login, and product experience. The announcement doesn't cover pricing changes or an integration timeline.
Meetings feed the rest of the suite: Superhuman's example is an agent in Go that reviews a standup transcript, drafts status updates in Superhuman Docs, and flags them for the project manager to approve.
The connection already exists: Fathom was already available in Superhuman Go through a connector that pulls summaries, transcripts, action items, and recordings into other tools.
Buy over build: Superhuman CEO Shishir Mehrotra says the company tried building its own notetaker before deciding Fathom's finished product was the better route.

⚡️ Higgsfield releases "AI Motion Designer"
Higgsfield released "AI Motion Designer," a ChatGPT plugin that builds motion graphics directly inside your open After Effects composition from a plain-language prompt.
Describe what you want, like a logo reveal or an animated title, and the agent creates the layers, keyframes, timing, and expressions itself, instead of handing you a rendered clip you'd have to rebuild to change.
Expressions are the short snippets of code After Effects uses to drive animation automatically, like a bounce or a wiggle.
With AI Motion Designer, you can now:
Build titles, logo reveals, and transitions from a prompt: Animated type, product promos, and transitions, built around your own text, footage, and brand colors rather than a template.
Recreate animation from a reference: Point it at an image or video and it rebuilds the motion in your comp.
Have it write expressions and effects: Ask for a behavior or effect and it writes the expression rather than you scripting it by hand.
Keep everything editable: Every layer it creates, including text, color, timing, and animation, stays a native After Effects element you can adjust like anything you built yourself.
Continue from a Higgsfield generation: Bring an asset made with Higgsfield's image or video models into the composition and keep animating it there.
Run it from other agents: The same agent is available through Higgsfield's MCP (the open standard that lets AI assistants connect to outside tools), so it can be triggered from Claude, Cursor, or your own agent setup.
The plugin is what gives ChatGPT its After Effects knowledge: Higgsfield says it understands animation principles and keeps track of context across your project, while the work inside After Effects is carried out by OpenAI's "GPT-6 Astra" in computer-use mode.
It isn't free: you need active subscriptions to Higgsfield, ChatGPT, and After Effects, and Higgsfield generations draw on your normal credit balance at web rates.
