PRODUCTIVITY
🤖 Claude releases “Claude Duet” app
Claude released “Claude Duet,” a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent that comes to you with what needs your attention.
Instead of waiting for you to open a chat, Duet checks your connected apps every few hours and messages you only when something actually needs you.
You can also hand it tasks by text or voice, and it keeps working on its own computer in the cloud, even when your laptop is closed.
The best part: it already knows you. Duet carries over your memory, skills, and connected apps from your Claude account, so there’s almost nothing to set up.
Note: Claude Duet is a research preview with a waitlist, starting with Pro and Max subscribers in the US. It runs on iOS, Android, and claude.ai, and shares your plan’s usage limits.
With Claude Duet, you can now:
Get a morning brief: A short rundown each morning of the most important things across your inbox, calendar, and apps.
Hand off bigger tasks: Ask it to build a dashboard, a sales forecast, a deck, or even a web app, and it pings you when it’s done.
Step away: Duet has its own browser in the cloud, so the work keeps going while your phone and laptop are off.
Keep the final say: Before it sends a message, pays, signs, or deletes anything, it shows you exactly what it’s about to do and waits for your OK.
Use 6,000+ connectors: Chase unpaid invoices in QuickBooks or Stripe, catch up on Gmail and Slack, or turn a launch into a social campaign in Canva.
Buy things safely: It can check out with Stripe’s Link or Shop Pay, so your real card number is never shared.
Duet is built on Claude Opus 5.5, and Anthropic says it’s made for professionals and small business owners with more on their plate than they can track.
DESIGN
📝 Figma releases “Specs”
Figma released “Specs,” a new home for written context inside Figma, plus a batch of code and AI updates at Config India.
Specs are collaborative docs that live right next to your designs, so the brief, the visuals, and the technical details all sit in one place.
You can pull in data, turn a rough idea into a detailed spec, and then hand it to a coding agent through Figma’s MCP server.
The best part: Figma Make can now set up a real backend, so a prototype can run on real data and content instead of placeholders.
Note: Specs and Code Layers are rolling out in open beta, with Specs on paid plans. Creating and editing in code layers is free on paid plans through November 4.
Everything Figma announced at Config India:
Specs (open beta): Bring written intent, visual exploration, and technical details together for your team and your AI agents.
Code Layers (open beta): Build interactive, code-backed prototypes on the canvas from a frame, a GitHub repo, a prompt, or a website you capture with the Figma Chrome extension.
Payload in Figma Make: Make now sets up a backend with a CMS, database, media, logins, and an admin panel, all hosted by Figma. It’s rolling out on all plans.
Guidelines (open beta): Add rules to your design libraries so the Figma agent follows your design system.
Code sources (closed beta): Import code from GitHub or npm so the agent builds with your real components.
Figma MCP: It’s faster, works with more Figma products, and adds 20 new partners, including Notion, Linear, ClickUp, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Figma also previewed centralized design systems, which bundle design libraries, code libraries, and guidelines into one place.

MOTION DESIGN
🔌 Jitter releases “Jitter MCP”
Jitter released “Jitter MCP,” a beta connector that lets your AI assistant create, edit, and animate Jitter files right from the chat.
Jitter is a browser-based motion design tool, and MCP is the standard way AI apps plug into other tools.
Once it’s connected, you can ask Claude, ChatGPT, or Notion to find your files, look at your layers and animations, and start new projects from a prompt.
The best part: everything it makes is a native Jitter file, so you can open it anytime and fine-tune the animation by hand.
Note: Jitter MCP is in beta. To try it, add the Jitter MCP server as a custom connector in your AI tool and sign in with your Jitter account. Exporting video still happens in the Jitter editor for now.
With Jitter MCP, you can now:
Go from brief to content: Turn a launch brief into 3 animated social posts without touching a blank canvas.
Scale your campaigns: Make 5 versions of a campaign with different headlines and calls to action.
Stay on brand: Use your brand guidelines to create an animated announcement for a new feature.
Resize in one go: Adapt one animation into square, vertical, and widescreen formats.
Polish old work: Find an existing file and ask it to make the animations more dynamic.
Jitter says exporting, workspace actions, and one-click Claude and ChatGPT connectors are on the way.
