Jitter MCP lets Claude and ChatGPT design and animate in Jitter
By Steven Van ·
Jitter’s new MCP server, in beta, lets AI assistants create, edit and animate native Jitter files; exporting video still happens in Jitter.
Motion design tool Jitter launched Jitter MCP in beta on October 20. It connects Jitter to the AI tool you already use, so you can make animated content end to end from a chat.
To set it up, add the server URL https://mcp.jitter.video as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Notion or any app that supports custom MCP connectors, then sign in with your Jitter account. From there, an assistant can find your files, inspect layers and animations, create new projects, and edit layouts, text and motion.
Jitter’s examples include turning a launch brief into three animated social posts, making five headline variations of a campaign, and adapting one animation into square, vertical and widescreen formats. Everything it makes is a native Jitter file you can fine-tune by hand.
For now, some actions stay in the editor: exporting video, Jitter’s credit-based AI features, moving files between workspaces and updating Brand Kit variables. Jitter says exporting and one-click Claude and ChatGPT connectors are coming.
