🎨 Photoshop releases "Prompt-to-Edit”

Adobe released “Photoshop 27.10,” bringing a new "AI Editor" (Beta) directly into Photoshop, so Firefly-powered editing tools now live inside your regular workflow rather than in a separate app.
With the AI Editor, you can now:
Edit with text prompts: "Prompt to Edit" lets you describe a change in plain language, like removing an object or changing a background, and have Photoshop apply it.
Guide generation with annotations: "Markup" lets you draw visual notes directly on the canvas to steer what the AI generates or edits.
Control where edits land: Use masks and selections to limit generative edits to a specific area of the image instead of the whole frame.
The update also includes a few non-AI additions:
"Light" adjustment layer: Adjust exposure, contrast, highlights, and shadows on a separate layer, so your original image stays untouched.
Dynamic Text for shapes and paths: Text automatically reflows and resizes as you adjust the shape or path it sits on.
Adobe Stock in-app: Browse and import Adobe Stock assets without leaving Photoshop.
Custom file format list: Choose which formats appear in the Save As and Save a Copy dialogs, so your most-used ones sit at the top.
Photoshop 27.10 is available now through the Creative Cloud desktop app, with the AI Editor in beta.

☀️ Runway shares "Solaris" AI model

Instead of building an app or website in code, Solaris generates the interface itself as a continuous stream of frames that respond to your clicks, drags, and typed instructions in real time.
A world model is an AI system that predicts what happens next in an environment based on an action.
Runway's Solaris applies this idea to software screens: you click or drag, and the model generates the next frame of the interface rather than running pre-written code.

Runway's examples include:
A virtual clothing store: Drag a shirt from a rack onto a photo of yourself to try it on, or rearrange the display.
A room planner: Say "move the table" or "change the colour of the couch" and watch the scene update.
An interactive tutorial: Drag ingredients into a bowl to build a salad, with the interface responding as each one is added.
Solaris is built on Runway's Gen-4.5 video model and outputs at 720p.
Runway says a user study of 250 participants preferred Solaris over a coded version of the same interface (built with an AI model) in 61% of comparisons for following instructions, and 71% for natural behaviour.
Solaris is not publicly available. It's an early-access research project, and Runway has not shared pricing or a launch date. You can request early access to Solaris here (bottom of page).

🎬 CleanShot releases "Studio Mode"

CleanShot released “CleanShot 5.0,” a major update to the Mac screenshot and screen recording app that adds "Studio Mode," a built-in video editor for turning raw screen recordings into polished videos.
CleanShot is a Mac-only app for screenshots, scrolling captures, annotations, and screen recordings. Studio Mode moves it into territory previously covered by dedicated tools like Screen Studio.

With Studio Mode, you can now:
Add smart zooms: Insert smooth zooms that follow your cursor to draw attention to specific parts of the screen.
Trim and edit: Cut mistakes and fine-tune the recording before exporting.
Smooth cursor movement: Clean up shaky cursor motion so recordings are easier to follow.
Add motion blur: Apply motion blur for smoother, more cinematic movement.
Add backgrounds: Place recordings on a background, the same way CleanShot already does for screenshots.
Adjust after recording: Change cursor size, keystroke display, and webcam settings after the fact.
CleanShot 5.0 is available now on all plans as a one-time purchase, with no subscription required.
PRODUCTIVITY
AI made PMs faster. Multiplayer mode is still broken.

A PM can summarize research, draft a PRD, and mock up a prototype before lunch. The hard part starts when the team has to decide what actually gets built.
Jira Product Discovery gives product teams one place to capture insights, prioritize ideas with consistent frameworks, and build living roadmaps stakeholders can rally around.
And because it’s connected to Jira, the context behind every decision stays with the work—so developers and their agents know not just what to build, but why.
AI helps PMs move faster. Jira Product Discovery helps the whole team build with confidence.
