💬 ChatGPT releases "Unlimited Messages" for free users
ChatGPT released "GPT 5.6 Luna," a new model for free users that comes with unlimited text messages, removing the free tier's message cap for the first time.
The update is part of ChatGPT's August 7 "Feature Drop," a batch of five changes spanning new models, formatting, and voice.
With this update, you can now:
Chat for free, without limits: Free users get "GPT 5.6 Luna" with unlimited text messages, rolling out soon.
Control reasoning depth: Paid users get "GPT 5.6 Sol," a new model with a slider to dial ChatGPT's thinking up or down (with haptic feedback on mobile).
Paste with formatting intact: ChatGPT's web composer now retains rich formatting when you paste in emails or documents.
Snap photos faster on Android: Tapping "camera" to take a photo and ask a question is now significantly quicker.
Upload files in Voice mode: The new voice experience (powered by "GPT-Live") now supports uploading files and asking questions about them out loud.

🤖 xAI releases “Grok Bot”
xAI released "Grok Bot" in early beta, a new product built around "Bots," AI teammates that sign in to your actual tools, use them the way you would, and come back with finished work.
Unlike a chat assistant, each Bot runs on its own computer, meaning it keeps working even after you shut your laptop. You can message Bots from desktop or iOS like you'd message a coworker.
Grok Bot is xAI's first major product since its parent company SpaceX announced its $60 billion acquisition of Cursor in June, which explains why the product ships through Cursor's plans and infrastructure.
With Grok Bot, you can now:
Delegate full projects: Give a Bot a task, close your computer, and check in from anywhere. Bots return when they need your approval.
Run multiple Bots in parallel: Assign each Bot a job (one on outbound, one on reporting, one on support) and they work simultaneously, 24/7.
Teach workflows by demonstration: Complete a task once while a Bot watches, and it saves it as a routine it can run on its own next time.
Let Bots build context: Bots remember how you work, learn from each other, and get smarter over time.
Chain Bots together: Put several Bots in one thread and they pass work between themselves, with you watching instead of approving every step.
Grok Bot is available today for "SuperGrok Heavy," "Cursor Ultra" ($200/month), and "Cursor Teams Premium" ($120/seat/month) subscribers on macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS, with Android coming soon.

Higgsfield released "Layers," a new AI image editor built around layer decomposition, meaning any image can be split into separate, individually editable layers.
With Layers, you can now:
Upload or generate any image: Start from an existing file or create one from scratch inside the editor.
Split images into editable layers: Break a flat image into separate layers and edit each one independently.
Regenerate text or objects in isolation: Change a headline, swap an object, or fix text rendering without altering the rest of the image.
Work in native 4K: Outputs render at 4K resolution, with what Higgsfield describes as "flawless" text rendering.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads
Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:
After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.
The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”
Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
