What is The Biological Computing Co.?

The Biological Computing Co. (TBC) is an applied biological computing company headquartered in San Francisco. On October 30, 2026 it launched mischief 1, an image-to-video model it describes as neuron-derived. The press release says the model is live on fal and OpenRouter.

OpenRouter lists it as tbc/mischief-1, from $0.005 a second at 480p and $0.01 a second at 720p, in 3 or 5 second clips at a 16 by 9 frame. TBC says the model is built on Wan 2.2 and that its own GPU benchmarks averaged 12 seconds a take against 142 seconds for that base model. Those speed and cost figures are TBC's.

The company says living neurons stay in the lab and that customers run software on ordinary AI hardware. The announcement does not list a free tier.

Pricing: OpenRouter lists mischief 1 from $0.005 a second at 480p and $0.01 a second at 720p, checked October 30, 2026. A five-second 720p clip at that rate is $0.05, which is the price printed on OpenRouter's demo frame. TBC's press release uses the half-cent rate for its examples. The posts do not list a free tier.
