Cap v0.6 Is Here

September 15, 2026

Cap v0.6 is out, described by the team as its biggest release yet. It brings a redesigned editor rebuilt from the timeline up, 3D scenes with automatic or custom camera shots, animated text and full-screen cards, moving backgrounds, separate color correction for screen and camera, Studio Sound noise removal, camera cutouts on macOS, faster exports with measured estimates, and a sturdier recorder with Linux packages. It also ships a first look at a new native app written in Rust on GPUI, available as an optional preview in Settings > Experimental.
