Its features page calls it an e-commerce platform for books, memberships, courses, and more, with a storefront you can build on Gumroad or embed on your own site. The homepage says you can take one-time, recurring, or fixed-length payments and let customers pay in their own currency.
The pricing page lists no monthly fee: 10% + $0.50 per transaction on sales through your profile or direct links, and 30% per transaction when new customers buy through Discover. Since January 1, 2025, Gumroad is the merchant of record and handles sales tax collection and remittance. Gumroad was created in 2011.
On October 23, 2026, Gumroad announced a Claude connector so creators can draft and publish products and check sales and payouts in chat, while checkout stays on Gumroad.
