Tella Ships Cursors, Motion Blur and Smarter Zooms
By Steven Van ·
Tella's latest release adds custom cursors, motion blur and smarter zoom behaviour to its browser-based screen recorder.
Tella announced a new release on September 16, 2026 that ships three additions to its screen recorder: cursors, motion blur and smarter zooms.
Tella records your screen and webcam in the browser and adds scene layouts, zoom effects and backgrounds without a separate editing step. This update focuses on how pointer movement and zooms look in the finished recording, which are the details that tend to separate a quick capture from a polished demo. The announcement was posted on X with a short demo video showing the new effects in action.
- Cursors: new cursor options for recordings, so the pointer is a visible, styled part of the video.
- Motion blur: pointer movement is smoothed with motion blur rather than jumping across the screen.
- Smarter zooms: Tella's zoom effects now behave more intelligently when following the action.
- All three features are described as shipping today, so they are available in Tella now.
You can watch the short demo clip in the announcement.
