Tella launches its Agent, Motion, and Auto Capture

On October 29, 2026, Tella co-founder Grant introduced Tella Agent, Tella Motion, and Auto Capture. Tella’s account quoted the post and called it the company’s biggest update ever.
What's new
Tella Agent edits from a description. Each cut, zoom, and layout lands in the editor while you watch, and you can undo them. It asks with choices preset to its suggestion. One request makes 9:16 Shorts or clips and leaves the original unchanged. Gaps can be filled with generated b-roll, images, sound effects, Tella Motion titles or charts, or Auto Capture footage. It does not invent what you said or add narration.
Tella Motion uses a real keyframe and easing engine for animated titles, charts and diagrams, animated logos, illustrations, effects, and lower thirds. There is no keyframe timeline. You only drag where a clip starts.
Auto Capture, in beta, records on Tella’s servers in 4K at 60 fps. The Tella Agent or any MCP-connected agent can start a take for b-roll, a pull-request demo, a help-doc video, or a tutorial. It cannot record localhost, desktop apps, or mobile apps.
How it works
It reads the transcript and timeline. Select words for that part, or attach a brief or script. Memory stores personal or workspace preferences. Skills save a repeated edit or install from GitHub, then run with a slash. You choose the model and a thinking level. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor use the MCP server at https://api.tella.com/mcp.
Availability
The agent is in public beta for everyone in the editor. Messages need a paid plan or the 7-day trial and spend credits: 4,500 a month per Pro seat and 9,000 per Premium seat, with 4,500 on a trial. Motion has no waitlist. Agent use spends those credits, and MCP works on every plan, including the trial. Auto Capture is a paid-plan beta and charges credits when a take ends.
