Plan launches, events, and tests with clearer and more granular controls in Rollouts

Shopify's Rollouts tool gets a redesigned setup flow for planning launches, temporary events, and experiments on themes, checkout, and account pages.
Shopify has redesigned the setup flow for Rollouts, its tool for staging changes to a store before they go live to all customers. The update is meant to make it clearer whether a given rollout is a launch, a temporary event, or an experiment, and to give merchants more granular control over how it runs.
- Rollout settings now adjust based on the timing and traffic percentage chosen, reflecting the merchant's intent as a launch, temporary event, or experiment.
- A single rollout can combine changes to the theme, checkout, and customer account pages.
- Merchants can see what percentage of traffic a rollout reaches and how that traffic is split between test versions.
- Conflicting settings are surfaced directly in the setup flow so they can be addressed earlier.
More detail is available in Shopify's help documentation on the new Rollouts configuration, linked from the Shopify changelog entry.
