Automatically generated policies help you launch faster

Store owners can enable automation for individual policies, which then update as store settings and Shopify’s recommendations change.
Store owners can now automate return and refund, contact information, terms of service, shipping, and legal notice policies in Shopify. The policies update as store settings change and stay in sync with Shopify’s recommendations.
Turn on automation for each policy
In the Shopify admin, go to Settings > Policies, select the policy, enable Use automated policy, and click Save. Sidekick cannot change a policy while this option is turned on.
Review what gets published
Store owners remain responsible for their policies and compliance with applicable laws. Shopify’s policy guidance advises reviewing policies carefully before adding them. Once added, store policies are automatically linked in the checkout footer.
