A redesigned Point of Sale channel page with an easy entry point to the POS editor
We've redesigned the Point of Sale channel page in your Shopify admin so your in-store setup and performance are right where you start.
Shopify announced A redesigned Point of Sale channel page with an easy entry point to the POS editor on August 17, 2026.
What changed
We've redesigned the Point of Sale channel page in your Shopify admin so your in-store setup and performance are right where you start. The page now opens with a Customize the in-store experience section that previews your store's actual lock screen, customer display, and receipts, so you can see what your staff and customers see and open the POS editor for any of them in one click. You can still open the editor from Point of Sale > Settings > Customization as well. 🛍️ You can also read your in-store performance from the same page. A new Analytics section shows gross sales, orders, discounts, and returns for today, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days, and you can filter by location if you sell from more than one store. Each metric links through to the full report. Managing your retail setup is quicker too, with direct links to manage your staff and locations. If you haven't set up a POS device yet, you'll see a QR code to download the Shopify POS app and start selling in person. The new page is available to everyone using the Point of Sale channel, and staff need analytics permissions to see the analytics section.
