🤝 Replit acquires “Atta”
Replit acquired “Atta,” an AI startup that turns business data into polished, interactive charts. This is Replit’s second acquisition this month.
Atta's charting is already live in Replit, so you can ask Replit Agent to visualize your data and get a presentation-ready chart right in the chat.
What's Atta? Atta was an AI data analysis startup founded by Omar Shaik and Amine Ben Khalifa, who are both joining Replit. Fun fact: Ben Khalifa says he wrote the first lines of Atta's original prototype in Replit!
Here's what you get:
Charts in chat: Ask Replit Agent "let's visualize this" (or request a specific chart), and it builds an interactive chart right in the conversation.
No SQL required: Upload a dataset or connect a data source, ask a question, and Replit runs the queries and analysis for you.
The right chart for the job: Replit picks a visualization that fits your data, like a waterfall chart to explain a revenue change or a heatmap to spot patterns in retention.
Ready to share: Charts come out consistent and on-brand, with labels, spacing, and layouts that adapt when you resize them.
Just the start: Replit calls charts the first step, and says an analysis could eventually become a recurring routine or slides for a leadership review.

Google made AI video creation free in Google Vids. Now, anyone with a Google account can generate HD video scenes right from their browser, for no cost at all.
Google Vids also added new creative controls to extend scenes, set exact clip lengths, and generate in 1080p, all powered by Gemini Omni 1.1, Google's latest video model.
What's Google Vids? Google Vids is Google's AI video editor, built into Google Workspace alongside Docs, Sheets, and Slides. It started as a tool for work videos (like training clips and project updates), and it's built so you don't need pro editing skills.
Here's what's also new:
Extend scenes: Make a clip longer while keeping the characters, lighting, environment, and visual style consistent.
Exact durations: Set clip lengths down to the second so each scene lines up perfectly with your voiceover.
1080p HD: Generate brand-new scenes in full HD, or upscale existing AI clips so everything matches across your timeline.
Built-in watermark: Every Omni clip made in Vids includes an invisible SynthID watermark, so viewers can check that it was made with AI.
AI voiceovers (coming soon): Type a script and Vids will turn it into a natural-sounding voiceover in 100+ languages.
Note: Free access is on desktop (select "Create AI videos"). Google AI plans unlock more generations on personal accounts, and Workspace Business and Enterprise plans include bigger generation pools.
