No longer broken Bases: Fixed comparisons between dates and strings (e.g. date > "2025-07-18").
Obsidian's 1.9.6 desktop early access build fixes a batch of bugs in Obsidian Bases. Comparisons between dates and strings (like date > "2025-07-18") now work correctly, and logical operators in formulas (a && b) no longer fail.
- Improved detection of invalid formulas, and a redesigned formula editor with a taller initial height and a status indicator for invalid formulas
- The query builder in the filters menu now updates the operator correctly
- link() now works if the URL contains spaces
- The properties menu filters by both display name and property name
- "Image property" no longer fails to show the selected value
- Cards view no longer sets the wrong scroll position when navigating back in history
- The filter menu no longer shows the wrong input type when a selected property contains spaces
