Obsidian 1.8.7 Desktop (Public)
By Steven Van ·
Improvements Improved the "Insert horizontal rule" command to behave more intuitively when used on a non-empty line.
Obsidian's 1.8.7 desktop update, detailed in the changelog, fixes a long list of small issues across the editor, Mermaid diagrams, and the web viewer.
- The title bar is now visible while the app is loading, so the window can be dragged, and minimized, maximized, or closed on Windows and Linux before loading finishes.
- The "Insert horizontal rule" command behaves more intuitively on a non-empty line, and right-clicking a link now shows the file menu.
- Adjacent numbered lists no longer get merged with incorrect numbering, and Shift-Enter inside a list now adds the correct indentation.
- In the web viewer, "Clear web viewer data" now fully removes stored session data, the built-in ad blocker properly captures web requests, and "Save to vault" no longer fails without an error.
- Clicking a bookmarked URL now opens it in the external browser by default, unless the web viewer is set to handle external links.
