Obsidian 1.8.5 Desktop (Early access)

By Steven Van ·

No longer broken Fixed issue with adjacent numbered lists being considered part of the same list and having incorrect list numbers applied.

Obsidian's Obsidian desktop app has moved to version 1.8.5 in early access, with a set of fixes across lists, Mermaid diagrams and the web viewer.

  • Adjacent numbered lists are no longer merged into one list with incorrect numbering, and Shift-Enter inside a list now adds the correct indentation.
  • A missing CSS variable, --font-mermaid, has been added for setting a custom font in Mermaid graphs, and a regression that chopped off text in Mermaid diagrams at non-100% zoom is fixed.
  • In the web viewer, clicking a result in the history view now opens it in the background if "Always focus new tabs" is off in Editor settings, "Clear web viewer data" now fully removes stored session data, and the built-in ad blocker now properly captures web requests.
  • Bookmarked URLs now open in the external browser by default, unless the web viewer is configured to open external links.
  • Page preview no longer appears unexpectedly after using Graph view and then pressing Command/Ctrl.
  • Mermaid has been updated to version 11.4.1.

Full details are in the changelog.
