Obsidian 1.8.1 is out in early access for desktop, with a batch of editor and web viewer updates.
- img, video and audio tags with relative src paths now render in Live Preview and Reading mode.
- Tab headers for notes and attachments now show a page preview on hover.
- Outline view has a new "Auto-scroll to current section" option.
- Web viewer gets a "Save to vault" command that converts the current webpage to Markdown, plus a loading bar and a context menu item to open external links in the web viewer.
- Publish gains an "Open in live site" command to jump to the current live version of a note.
- The Sync plugin is now enabled by default, and a new "Sync: Set up Sync" command has been added.
The release also fixes web viewer pages that failed to load, case-sensitive web-page loading, search losing its sort order after "Search in all files", and several other editor and PDF view bugs. Full details are in the changelog.
