Obsidian 1.13.3 Desktop (Early access)
By Steven Van ·
Improvements Live Preview: When the image is the only text on a line, the editor line height is no longer preserved to match the image height.
The latest early-access build of Obsidian desktop, version 1.13.3, focuses on image handling in Live Preview and adds a few smaller fixes.
- When an image is the only text on a line, the editor no longer forces the line height to match the image's height.
- Image embeds in Live Preview get a new selection state and a "zoom" button.
- The image lightbox now supports click and drag to pan around an image.
- File Recovery's history list supports keyboard navigation: arrow keys move through the records.
- The Unique Note Creator plugin now links to its own settings if it can't find a template.
- Fixed image resizing when an image sits inside a Markdown table.
- Fixed the unique URI action not opening a new note in the correct tab when a paneType option is passed.
The build is available now on the desktop catalyst (early access) channel, per the changelog entry for July 21, 2026.
