Obsidian's mobile app has reached 1.12, bringing it up to date with Obsidian Desktop v1.12.4. On iOS, a new Share extension lets users save content from other apps, such as Safari or social networks, straight into their vault without opening Obsidian, and a new "Bookmark Link" Shortcut action saves URLs as Obsidian bookmarks.
The release also includes several smaller changes:
- The app now defaults to the system language, with a language picker added during onboarding.
- A new "Unique note" action has been added to the app's press-and-hold menu.
- Pointer device support on tablets is improved: submenus expand on hover, and the property editor's context menu shows on right-click.
- The "Delete and do not ask again" option has been removed from the file deletion prompt.
- Obsidian Sync no longer overwrites files if the app closes before the latest sync state is saved.
- On iOS, tooltips no longer appear unexpectedly after using the sidebar, the Daily Note and Bookmark Shortcuts work again, and the View Note widget refreshes immediately.
- In Slides, the close button's position in the mobile status bar has been fixed.
