Obsidian 1.11 Desktop (Public)

Obsidian 1.11 for desktop ships with an installer that encrypts cookies by default. Anyone using the Web viewer plugin should update to the latest installer to stop cookies being readable in plaintext by other apps.

The release also brings a set of smaller changes to Obsidian:

• Markdown links now work inside text and list properties, and external links in properties open in the browser.
• Internal links are automatically updated when the linked file is moved or renamed.
• Icons have been added to settings sections, and a new "Keychain" section stores secrets like API keys for plugins to share.
• Daily notes can use a predefined date format, and a new Default file to open setting replaces the old "open daily note on startup" option.
• Community plugins can now be checked for updates automatically every three days.

The installer also moves to Electron v39.2.6, which turns on Wayland by default on Linux, and bundles Inter Variable in place of the standard Inter font.
