Obsidian 1.11.7 Mobile (Public)

By Steven Van ·

Improved New Appearance settings (enabled by default): Full screen: Automatically hide interface elements while reading.

The mobile version of Obsidian has a new 1.11.7 update with reworked appearance settings, on by default: full screen mode now hides interface elements automatically while reading, navigation buttons float over the content instead of staying anchored, and sidebars can slide in from the side instead of appearing over the content. In full screen mode, the phone's status bar now hides when scrolling in a note.

  • The app icon's press-and-hold menu gains new actions: "Manage vaults..." to close the current vault and return to vault selection, "Today" to open the daily note (with the daily notes plugin enabled), and "New Note" to create a note in the active vault.
  • The vault switcher can now open a vault in Restricted Mode, which skips activating plugins, useful for debugging a vault that won't open.
  • Keychain settings have an improved layout, and auto-capitalization is now disabled on the "secret ID" field.
  • Android, iOS and iPad bug fixes cover issues including the tab switcher not updating, header button positioning on older devices, first-tap failures in the File Explorer and Outline, and Bases list values being truncated.
