Notion 3.4, part 2

Notion's latest release builds on Custom Agents, the AI teammates it introduced a month earlier, making them cheaper to run and able to take on more of the day-to-day busywork. The update, Notion 3.4, part 2, also brings Custom Agents into databases and gives the regular Notion Agent new skills.

• Custom Agents are 35-50% cheaper to run, with further savings available by picking models like GPT-5.4 Mini & Nano, Haiku 4.5, or MiniMax M2.5. A new credits dashboard shows what each agent is spending. Agents are free to try until May 3, 2026; from May 4 they run on purchased Notion Credits.
• Custom Agents can now read private Slack channels, with Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Salesforce, and custom connectors planned.
• New AI Autofill, powered by Custom Agents, enriches, extracts, and categorises data across every row of a database automatically; it's rolling out now. Basic AI Autofill remains included on Business and Enterprise plans.
• Notion Agent gains Skills, saved workflows it can run on command, plus integration with Calendar, Mail, and Slack, inline doc editing when text is selected, and a microphone button for dictating prompts.
• AI Meeting Notes can now take custom instructions so summaries follow a preferred format, and summary quality has improved by pulling in more workspace context.
• New AI connectors for Salesforce and Box let agents search and summarise accounts, opportunities, proposals, and contracts.
• Initial page render is 28% faster.
• A new "Can create pages" database permission lets teammates add new entries without viewing or editing others', useful for things like a shared meetings database.
• AI Meeting Notes transcripts and summaries are now available via API, alongside an n8n MCP integration and broader MCP improvements including auditing and approved-tools controls.
