Notion 3.3: Custom Agents

Big news today: Custom Agents are finally here! Give them a job, set a trigger or schedule, and they’ll get it done—24/7.
Notion's 3.3 release introduces Custom Agents: agents that run on a trigger or schedule with no manual prompting, working around the clock across Notion, Slack, Mail, Calendar and MCP-connected tools like Linear, Figma and HubSpot.
Agents are described in plain language and built by Notion AI, with adjustable triggers, instructions, sources and a choice of AI model; templates are available for common workflows. They're built for teams: agents can be created and shared jointly, given permissions like a teammate, and Business and Enterprise admins can control who is allowed to create them. Every run is logged, and any agent can be disabled at any time.
Notion gives a few examples of what agents are being used for:
- Q&A agents that answer repeat questions by drawing on Notion, Slack, Mail, Calendar and MCP sources
- Task routing agents that turn incoming requests into tasks and route them to an owner
- Status update agents that write daily standups, sprint recaps or OKR reports on a schedule
During early testing, users built more than 21,000 Custom Agents, and Notion says it now runs 2,800 internally. Custom Agents are free to try through May 3, 2026; from May 4, 2026 they run on Notion credits, sold as an add-on for Business and Enterprise plans.
