Notion 3.0 rebuilds Notion AI as Agents that can carry out multi-step work across a workspace rather than answer questions on a single page. A personal Agent can run for over 20 minutes at a time, using a memory system built from Notion pages and databases, and can create or update work across dozens of pages or hundreds of database rows at once.
- Agents pull context from connected tools such as Slack, Google Drive and GitHub, and from the web, within existing permissions.
- An instructions page lets users tell their Agent how they like things written and where to file tasks, and the Agent remembers this over time.
- Custom Agents, which run on a schedule or trigger rather than only on request, are coming; Notion is taking sign-ups.
- Database row permissions give page-level access control, available on Business and Enterprise plans.
- New AI connectors add Notion Mail today, with Box and Outlook Mail coming next.
- Notion's MCP integrations now include Lovable, Perplexity, Mistral and HubSpot.
- Agents run on built-in models, including Claude Sonnet 4 and GPT-5, at no extra cost, with a model picker per Agent.
- Notion AI can now write database formulas from a plain-language description.
