Look up permission groups in Notion MCP

Assistants can resolve group IDs in People properties to names, or find a group by name before setting it.
The new notion-get-groups tool in Notion MCP lists the permission groups a user can see, returning each group’s ID and name.
Resolve group names in People properties
People properties show groups only as space_permission_group- followed by an ID. Assistants can now look up the corresponding name, or find a group by name before setting it in a People property, as described in the announcement.
