Edit, delete, and react to comments in Notion MCP
By Steven Van ·
The four new tools require a Business or Enterprise plan and use IDs retrieved from existing comments or newly created ones.
Business and Enterprise users can now manage existing comments and discussions through four new tools in Notion MCP.
Comment and discussion changes
- notion-update-comment replaces the text of a comment the user wrote.
- notion-delete-comment deletes a comment.
- notion-set-discussion-resolved resolves or reopens a discussion.
- notion-set-comment-reaction adds or removes the user’s emoji reaction.
Finding the comment or discussion
The tools use comment and discussion IDs obtained from notion-get-comments or notion-create-comment. They are not available in workspace-owned MCP connections, whose supported tool set excludes these four additions.
The Supported tools documentation lists the tools and connection limits.
