3.5: Notion Developer Platform

Now you (and your coding agents) can write code to sync any data and build any agent tool, all running on our infrastructure.
Notion has launched the Notion Developer Platform, a set of tools for syncing external data into Notion, building tools for agents, and running custom code on Notion's own infrastructure.
The platform is built around Workers, a hosted runtime that lets developers and coding agents write code, deploy it through a new CLI, and run it in a sandbox without managing their own servers. Workers power several new beta features:
- Database sync: pull data from any API-connected source, such as Zendesk tickets or Salesforce records, straight into a Notion database.
- Custom tools for agents: give Custom Agents capabilities beyond what Notion or MCP cover on their own, deployed as a Worker.
- Notion workflows from anywhere: other apps can now trigger actions in Notion directly, such as closing a task when a pull request merges.
Workers are free during the beta period; from 11 August 2026 they run on Notion credits.
Alongside Workers, Notion is opening an External Agents API in alpha that lets teams bring outside agents, including Claude, Codex and Decagon, into Notion (there's a waitlist to join), and an Agent SDK, also alpha and waitlisted, for embedding Notion agents into other apps such as a CRM or MS Teams. Existing developer tools got updates too: Notion MCP now works with Meeting Notes and block comments and is 91% more token-efficient for creating and updating databases, and any workspace member, not just owners, can now build API connections.
