Motion UI's Gallery gains rearrange, rearrangeFrom and gather options, and items now fade into place instead of flying across the view.
Motion UI 4.0.1 is a patch release that reworks how Gallery items move when the arrangement changes. Motion Studio users working with Motion UI get the update through the Motion changelog.
New Gallery options
- The rearrange option and the shift() preset set the state an item fades in from when it changes places without flying there.
- The rearrangeFrom option sets where the stagger starts as the detail strip opens or closes.
- The gather option collapses items behind the active one when switching to grid.
Fixes
- Items no longer fly across the view when loop or arrange changes. They fade out and in on the side they belong.
- Opening and closing detail fades the other items between the arrangement and the strip.
- The camera no longer swings between arrangements, so items entering the new one fade in where they belong.
