Motion Introduces Motion Studio
By Steven Van ·
Inspecting and visually editing animations is free, but the Ultramotion agent and writing changes back to source require a subscription.
Motion Studio adds a visual timeline for tweaking Motion animations directly on a live site, plus an AI agent that can apply text-described edits in under a second, Motion announced.
- The timeline lets developers inspect and edit timing, keyframes, easing, and springs on animations already running on the page, with the site preview updating in real time as changes are made.
- Ultramotion, an editing agent built on Jev and Luna, applies instructions like "stagger by 120ms" directly to the local draft; Motion says this is at least 10 times faster than having a coding agent rewrite the code.
- Motion Studio runs as a plugin for Vite, Webpack, and Next.js. Once an animation is finished, it can be sent to the developer's usual coding agent to write back to source.
- Inspecting and visually editing animations is free; using Ultramotion or applying changes to source requires a subscription.
