Origin App Marketplace
By Steven Van ·
Over 20 integrations are available, and developer tool teams can submit their own apps for review.
Teams building developer tools can now submit apps to Origin’s marketplace. Cursor has also expanded the marketplace to over 20 integrations covering deployments, CI, code review, security, monitoring, and project management.
Apps across the development workflow
- Deployments: Cloudflare, Netlify, Render, Spacelift, and Vercel.
- CI: Buildkite, CircleCI, CloudBees, Depot, EngFlow, Namespace, and RWX.
- Code review: CodeRabbit, Greptile, and Tenki.
- Security: Artemis Security, Semgrep, Socket Security, and Upwind.
- Monitoring: Sentry.
- Project management: Linear.
Publishing an app
Developers first create an app in their namespace, where it stays private while they build against the Origin API. Apps authenticate with an app JWT and installation access tokens, receive webhook events, and write back check runs, pull request comments, and reviews.
To submit, developers make the app public and provide a slug, suggested tags, and a demo video from the app’s page. The video must show installation, uninstallation, and the core product flows. Cursor reviews submissions and lists approved apps.
Help building and porting apps
The Origin Apps plugin includes skills that answer questions using the live Origin API documentation and plan a port of an existing GitHub App. The porting skill reads the app’s source and writes a brief covering compatibility, webhook fields, required scopes, and an end-to-end test. It writes no code unless asked.
The plugin works in Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and other agents that read Agent Skills. It requires network access to the Origin API docs, plus read access to the app’s source for porting. Writing the brief requires no Origin credentials.
