Cursor is now available on iPad, extending its mobile app beyond the iPhone version it shipped earlier. The pitch is straightforward: all the power of Cursor on iPhone, with more room to work with agents.
Why screen size matters for agent work
Cursor's mobile app is built around monitoring and steering agents rather than writing code by hand on a touchscreen, reviewing what an agent changed, approving diffs, answering a clarifying question, or kicking off a new task while away from a desk. That workflow is cramped on an iPhone screen once an agent run produces more than a small diff. iPad's larger canvas gives more room to actually read through changes and follow a longer agent session without excessive scrolling.
Part of a broader push toward always-on agents
Mobile access fits the direction agentic coding tools have been moving: kick off a task from a laptop, let the agent run, then check in and steer from whatever device is at hand. Cursor recently introduced Cursor Router, an intelligent model router that picks the right model for a given task at 60% lower cost, work that's most valuable when agents are running semi-autonomously across many sessions, exactly the kind of usage pattern a mobile app on a bigger screen is built to support.
