Cursor agents can now control your computer to test what they build

By Steven Van ·

Cursor’s agents can now drive desktop apps such as the iOS Simulator, so they can test the features they build without leaving the loop.

Cursor said on October 23 that its agents can now control your computer.

The headline use is testing. An agent that has just built a feature can open a desktop app, such as the iOS Simulator, and drive it to check the feature works, rather than stopping at code that only compiles.

That closes a gap for app developers, who until now had to run and click through builds themselves after an agent finished. The post does not list which plans include computer control or which operating systems are supported.
