Claude Code 2.1.286
By Steven Van ·
Version 2.1.286 adds a "2 of 5" count to stacked permission prompts and fixes session resume, login and cloud session bugs.
Sessions resumed with --resume or --continue no longer lose turns after a batch of parallel tool calls. This is one of several fixes in Claude Code 2.1.286, listed in the changelog, which also adds two interface changes.
- The permission prompt now shows a count such as "2 of 5" when several permission requests stack up.
- In fullscreen mode, the "N more" rows of lists respond to the mouse. Clicking one jumps to that end of the list, and the row has hover and pressed states.
- When gcpAuthRefresh or awsAuthRefresh credentials expire, several Claude Code processes and IDE extensions no longer each open a login browser.
- The resume fix covers the case where the earlier session crashed or was killed. Before, claude --resume and --continue could lose every turn after the parallel tool calls.
- API 400 errors are fixed for cases where a tool or hook returned an object, number or boolean instead of text, including in resumed sessions.
- Cloud sessions with very large histories now wake up. Before, the container was stopped while the transcript was still loading, so they never did.
- The Claude apps gateway's spend meter had two pricing errors. It priced 1-hour prompt cache writes at the cheaper 5-minute rate. On streamed turns that run a server-side tool such as web search, it counted only the first model call's input tokens. Both are fixed.
- On macOS, sessions no longer keep showing "Not logged in" or "Login expired" after /login succeeds in another Claude Code window. This happened when a leftover ~/.claude/.credentials.json existed.
