Claude Code 2.1.274
By Steven Van ·
Version 2.1.274 warns on critical memory use, lets non-interactive runs cap MCP startup waits, and fixes a stuck-retry bug.
Claude Code 2.1.274 adds a warning when memory usage gets critical, with steps for freeing memory or restarting safely.
- A new CLAUDE_CODE_MCP_STARTUP_WAIT_MS environment variable bounds how long the first non-interactive turn waits for MCP servers to connect (set to 0 to skip waiting).
- Collapsed teammate and agent messages can now be expanded with a click in fullscreen mode.
- Sessions no longer get stuck endlessly retrying on an "unexpected tool_use_id" 400 error.
- Several additions for enterprise deployments: an effort attribute on the LLM request telemetry span, a new OpenTelemetry event for managed-settings resolution, a configurable Postgres connect timeout for the Claude apps gateway, and IdP subject data in telemetry sent by Claude Desktop and Cowork.
