Maxon makes Autograph free for individual creators
By Steven Van ·
The motion graphics and compositing app now includes all core features at no cost, alongside new mobile ZBrush and Cinema 4D releases.
Maxon is bringing back Autograph, its motion graphics and compositing app, as a free download with all core features included for individual users. It combines 2D animation, compositing and 3D in one environment, with a native Cloner system for building complex motion graphics and responsive design tools that let designers adapt a project across multiple aspect ratios at once.
The app supports USD, OpenEXR, ACES, OpenColorIO and OpenFX, integrates with Universe and select Red Giant tools, and takes third-party OpenFX plugins starting with RE:Vision Effects, BorisFX and Digital Anarchy, available through their own marketplaces. Maxon is showing it alongside other announcements at its booth (N2741) at NAB 2026, April 18-22.
