What is Paperlab?

Paperlab renders physical, realistic paper as a React component: real 3D geometry that peels, unrolls, folds and hangs, rather than a CSS approximation or a pre-rendered video. The editor is where you dial a sheet in — presets to start from, a canvas to see it on, and an inspector for the parameters — and the result goes into a React app as a component. A playground and a reference sit alongside it for exploring the behaviours and looking up the API.

It runs in the browser, and it's free.

FAQs

Common questions about Paperlab

Is this a CSS effect?
No. Paperlab renders real 3D geometry, which is what lets a sheet peel, unroll, fold and hang rather than only appear to.
How do I use it in a project?
It ships as a React component — you dial a sheet in visually in the editor, then use it in your app.
