OpenDuet is an open-source template from CopilotKit for a proactive agent you host yourself. It is the open-source counterpart to Claude Duet. Any agent that speaks AG-UI can be the agent.
OpenDuet opens with a morning brief, keeps working on a computer of its own, and waits before it sends, pays, signs, or deletes. Make can generate a design system, a design, a dashboard, slides, a document, or a web page. You reach it on the web, and through Slack or Microsoft Teams.
The README says it is early. It runs on OpenBot, CopilotKit's self-hosted agent platform, with OpenDuet's name, bots, and skills in one folder. The license is MIT.
Setup needs Docker, Bun 1.3 or newer, Node, a model key, and a CopilotKit Intelligence project. The free Developer plan covers threads and memory. The default model is OpenAI's gpt-5.6-terra.
A hosted deploy guide is not published. The repository is github.com.
Pricing: MIT licensed and self-hosted. CopilotKit Intelligence's free Developer plan is enough for threads and memory. You bring a model key. The default model is OpenAI gpt-5.6-terra.
