Release notes for version 1.22b

By Steven Van ·

Version 1.22b adds cross-device Spaces sync via Mozilla accounts, plus a redesigned chrome UI, new onboarding, and several bug fixes.

Version 1.22b of Zen Browser adds cross-device sync for Spaces. Signing in with a Mozilla account now syncs Spaces, Folders, Tabs, and more between devices, and the first time it's turned on, local and cloud Spaces are merged. It can be enabled in Settings > Sync > Sync your Spaces across devices.

  • The chrome UI has been updated with squircles and other visual refinements.
  • A new onboarding experience helps new users get started.
  • Zen is updated to Firefox 155.0 and 155.0.1.
  • Fixes live folders for GitHub issues, which had stopped working with the new GitHub UI.
  • Fixes Zen preventing Linux systems from sleeping after long browsing sessions.
  • Fixes arrow-key and Page Up/Down scrolling on some pages with embedded content from other sites.
  • Fixes live audio streams, such as internet radio, stopping when played in the background.

Full details are in the release notes.
