Stuck meeting uploads now finish on their own

By Steven Van ·

Contact mentions stay within meeting notes, while speaker detection now works in Teams gallery view and during Google Meet presentations.

Recorded meetings in Wispr Flow now recover from more save and upload failures. The October 9 update also improves speaker detection and adds contact mentions to meeting notes.

Meeting recordings recover from errors

On Windows, stuck meeting uploads now complete on their own. If an upload still needs a retry, it can be retried without restarting Flow. Recordings also recover from saving or uploading errors when stopping or resuming a meeting, addressing failures that left meetings without audio or a summary.

Notetaker now identifies who is talking in Microsoft Teams gallery view and while presenting in Google Meet. On Windows, an idle Teams window no longer triggers meeting detection cards.

Mention people in meeting notes

Typing @ in My Thoughts or Summary opens a people picker, listing meeting participants first, followed by contacts. Users can also add a new contact to mention someone who was absent. Mentions stay within the meeting’s notes: they do not notify anyone, share content or add attendees.

Hovering over a mention or a name linked to a contact shows their contact card, including a photo, name and available job title and company, or an email address if neither is known. A LinkedIn button appears when a link is on file. Clicking a mention lets users change its assigned contact; clicking an unlinked name lets them assign one.

Dictation warnings and update fixes

  • Flow warns immediately if the microphone registers no sound when dictation starts.
  • Speaking a language outside the configured languages prompts a notice offering to add it.
  • The main Flow window reopens after clicking Update.
