Share global tag styles in libraries
By Steven Van ·
All paid Workspace plans can choose which Library tag styles apply, while site styles and classes retain priority.
Components installed from a Webflow Library can now carry their default body, heading and paragraph styles with them. Previously, those tag styles stayed on the source site, so the same component could look different on sites that installed it.
Choose which styles apply
Shared Libraries now include customised tag styles alongside components, variables, fonts and assets. Each site can choose which Libraries' tag styles to apply and in what order. The site's own tag styles take priority over Library tag styles, and classes take priority over both.
Update styles from the source site
Library tag styles cannot be edited on an installed site. Changes must be made on the source site and shared as an update. When a Library is uninstalled, Webflow merges its enabled tag styles into the site's own styles to preserve its appearance.
The update launched on October 7, 2026, and is available on all paid Workspace plans, wherever Shared Libraries are available.
