Webflow Localize lets you set tone and formality per language

Webflow's Webflow Localize add-on now lets users set formality and tone separately for each target language. Previously translation inferred both from the source content, which broke down in two ways: languages like German, French, Japanese, Korean or Spanish require a formality marker that English doesn't encode in the first place, so translation defaulted to a generic guess; and tone, while usually present in the source, tended to flatten toward a neutral middle ground as phrasing adapted to the target language.
Users can now fix a formality level for a language that needs one, or hold a language to a specific tone so it stops drifting toward neutral across translations. Settings can be applied to multiple languages at once, and a translation preview shows the result before it's committed. The feature is available on the Advanced Localize add-on or Enterprise plans with Localize.
