Real-time collaboration completes GA rollout

By Steven Van ·

Real-time collaboration completes GA rollout. Every Webflow site — including free and single-user — now runs on multiplayer platform by default.

Real-time collaboration has finished rolling out to every Webflow site, including free and single-user plans, which now run on the multiplayer platform by default.

  • All new sites automatically use the multiplayer platform.
  • Sites that previously opted out of real-time collaboration have been moved back onto it.
  • The toggle for turning real-time collaboration off has been removed.

If a site had real-time collaboration turned off during the rollout, it has now been re-enabled automatically and no action is needed. Webflow says the change reduces version conflicts and makes updates appear instantly, whether working solo or with a team. More detail is in the announcement.
