Webflow adds an AI assistant for building sections and CMS content

The beta tool generates styled sections and CMS collection items from prompts, free for now with possible usage limits.
The Webflow AI Assistant, announced at Webflow Conf, gives in-context help for building sites through conversational prompts. It has two skills:
- Generating new styled sections, such as pricing, features or testimonials blocks, based on a site's existing design system. The generated section can then be customised further, including adjusting an element's background or colour.
- Generating CMS Collection items with relevant content from a prompt, building on Webflow's earlier bulk sample CMS item generation.
Both skills are free during beta, though usage limits may apply, and Webflow says there may be an added cost once they reach general availability. Section generation currently works only on select templates and will expand to more sites this year, according to the announcement.
