Webflow's "Convert to" now works on more element types

By Steven Van ·

Containers, typography and text elements can now switch types in place, preserving styles and settings.

Webflow's element conversion feature now works on a wider range of elements. Previously limited to div and link blocks, "Convert to" can now handle containers, typography, and inline text elements too, for example turning a Text Block into a Heading 1, while preserving styles and settings.

The feature works the same way: right-click an element and select "Convert to," or use quick find. It's aimed at adjusting layouts without manual rebuilding, such as converting a paragraph to a heading or a container to a grid to refine structure and hierarchy.
