Webflow adds drag-to-reorder for multi-reference CMS fields
By Steven Van ·
The change is keyboard accessible too, and reordering saves as a draft until the item is published.
Multi-reference CMS fields in Webflow now support drag-to-reorder for selected choices, useful for things like reordering the authors listed on a blog post. Previously the only way to change that order was to delete every selected option and re-add them one at a time.
Open a CMS item with a multi-reference field, hover over a selected entry, and drag it to a new position. The change is also fully keyboard accessible: arrow keys move focus to an entry, spacebar grabs it, arrow keys move it, and spacebar again drops it in place. As with other CMS edits, the reordering saves as a draft immediately and goes live when the item is published.
