Webflow adds backdrop-filter blur and colour effects
By Steven Van ·
The beta feature sits in the designer's effects panel but only renders for the roughly 70% of browsers that support it.
Webflow has brought the backdrop-filter CSS property into the Webflow designer, letting you blur or shift the colour of whatever sits behind an element. It's in the style panel under the effects section, with a live preview on the canvas as you hover the dropdown options.
Backdrop filters are only supported in 70% of browsers, so the effect won't render for every visitor, and the preview may not show in the Designer if you're using Firefox. The feature will stay in beta until browser support broadens.
