Webflow lets Designers hide components from Marketers
By Steven Van ·
A per-component or per-group visibility toggle keeps the Add panel clean for the Marketer role, including in shared libraries.
Component visibility on Webflow can now be restricted by role. Anyone with the Designer role can toggle a new setting to hide specific components from the Marketer role, so marketers and clients only see the components relevant to their work.
Hidden components won't appear in the Add panel when a Marketer views a site in Build mode. If the component is part of a shared library, the visibility setting travels with it, so the same rules apply downstream. A "Hide all for Marketers" option in group settings applies the change to an entire group of components at once.
The update launched on 19 August 2026.
