Webflow's AI translation now preserves rich text formatting

Bold text, links, and styled spans survive Gemini-powered translation across all Localization plans, with full rollout by end of week.
Webflow's translation engine now uses Gemini, prompted to adapt idioms and match the tone and formality a native speaker would use, rather than translating word by word.
- Headings, paragraphs, and rich text blocks are translated as a single unit instead of node by node, which was previously producing awkward word choices and misplaced emphasis.
- Inline formatting such as bold text, links, and styled spans is set aside during translation and reattached to the equivalent words in the output. When a clean remap isn't possible, the translation stays readable rather than breaking.
Webflow says this means less manual cleanup before publishing. LLM-powered translation is available now on all Webflow Localization plans; support for formatted text is rolling out and will reach all customers by the end of the week.
