xAI and Vercel partner to bring zero-friction AI to developers

Grok models are in the Vercel Marketplace with a free xAI tier, automatic API key setup, billing through Vercel, and v0 support coming later.
Grok models from xAI are now available to Vercel projects through the Vercel Marketplace, with no additional signup. xAI is also adding a free tier through Vercel for prototyping and experimentation, as described in Vercel's announcement.
- API keys are handled through automatically configured environment variables.
- Billing is integrated through Vercel, so usage is pay as you go.
- In an existing project, xAI can be installed from the Vercel CLI with vercel install xai.
- Grok models now power Vercel's official Next.js AI chatbot template, which is built on the AI SDK.
The xAI Marketplace integration is also coming to v0's chat interface, though Vercel gave no date. Vercel says more AI integrations will be added to the Marketplace, and service providers who want to join can email integrations@vercel.com.
